Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.
Safeguarding means:
We are committed to the safeguarding of all young people at all times. This is one of our key responsibilities. Child protection is a part of the safeguarding process. It focuses on protecting individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. All schools have a designated safeguarding lead – at KKS that is MIke Bousfield, Deputy Headteacher. Jonathan Shepherd (Assistant Headteacher) and Sarah Timms (Head of Sixth Form) also have safeguarding responsibilities.
Any young person worried about their own safety must tell someone who can help. Any adult worried about the safety of a young person must also pass that information on. Please speak to the above staff in the event of any concerns.
