05 Students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted exceptionally well. Diversity is celebrated across subjects. Ofsted Positive relationships between staff and students are a feature of our school that visitors comment on. These positive relationships enable our students to flourish, to gain confidence and to develop the resilience they will need for success in life. Our student council, well-being ambassadors and other student leadership roles enable our students to make a positive contribution to our community. We celebrate the achievements of our students and look for opportunities both within and outside of the curriculum to enable them to thrive. Our students are known and valued individuals who will be given every opportunity to succeed. Behaviour and pastoral care in the school is outstanding. At the heart of the pastoral care is the form tutor, who will stay with your child until the end of Year 11. We have close partnerships with parents and keep them informed through regular reports and parents’ evenings as well as newsletters and email. It is these positive partnerships and shared high expectations that enable our students to thrive. Care

Our students are curious learners who enjoy their learning, are ambitious to know more, who understand the power of knowledge and learn about the world around us. We have an aspirational, broad and balanced curriculum with enrichment opportunities which inspire our students. Our dedicated and committed teachers are subject experts who encourage and support all of our students to enjoy their learning and achieve highly. We want to develop well-rounded individuals with generosity of spirit who will make a positive contribution to society. There is an extensive personal development curriculum which takes place through form time, assemblies, drop down days and enrichment activities. Careers information is given to students throughout their time at school and at key transition times advice is given through individual interviews and in consultation with parents. Ofsted judged our sixth form to be ‘outstanding’ with students who are highly motivated both in lessons and during independent study periods. They are inspired by teachers’ excellent subject knowledge. Our Curriculum 06 I think it is great that the school offers so many opportunities – the chance to see and do things they might otherwise never get to do. Thanks again. Parent
