Kirkbie Kendal School community is a happy place to learn and work. Care, Hard Work, Resilience and Curiosity are at the heart of who we are and our visitors often comment on the purposeful and friendly, warm atmosphere of our school.
A fascinating presentation from Zach Corbett and Eddie Hibbins (Sixth Form students) on the long-term trends in the zonal winds in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere above Trondheim, Norway. This has been a huge piece of academic research they've undertaken - FANTASTIC!
From tomorrow the 5th December, Year 7 & 8 Disco tickets are available to buy from outside the CAPA block during breaktime. £3 pp. From Georgia, Lucy, Eve (Sixth Form Team)
KKS will be closed tomorrow the 4th Dec because of the snow, and the icy conditions overnight which mean that we cannot guarantee a safe site tomorrow (Monday). School is expected to be open at the normal time on Tuesday morning. We look forward to welcoming everyone back then.
Two really good performances last night. A first chance for our Year 7s to represent the school on the football pitch and the Year 8s who also took on QKS in the County Cup.
