Student Wellbeing

There are many things you can do to look after your wellbeing, and taking time to look after yourself is really important.
Knowing what steps you can take to support your wellbeing can help you feel better, sleep better and have better relationships with the people around you.

One of the goals we have for you is to help you be in control of your own mental health and wellbeing but for you to also recognise when it is important to look for support.

At Kirkbie Kendal School support is available to you from the pastoral team to try and help you cope with life’s ups and downs. At times we may feel another organisation outside of school needs to be involved but most of the time we will help you to take control of your own mental health and support you with your overall wellbeing.

There are a number of things we will encourage you to achieve or try, to help support you to fulfill the 5 main aspects of your wellbeing.

We will encourage you to:

  • Have good learning habits
  • Take regular exercise good exercise
  • To develop positive relationships
  • To have good sleep routines
  • To have good eating habits
  • To be Mindful
  • To try techniques to cope and deal with life’s ups and downs
